PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH







         


To lead a happy life we all are in need of two important aspects as a whole. They are physical and mental health. There will be a possibility to lead a life with solitude only when we acquire these two aspects. 


But what is physical health?


Physical health is the state of our body which determines our well-being. The healthy state in which the body can do its function without any disruption. When we are physically healthy we will not have any health problems to be cured by doctors.


Then what is mental health?


Mental health is nothing but the state of mind which determines our attitudes and actions. This is something related to psychology. The peaceful state of mind which remains undisturbed even during tough times or at times of distress is called a healthy state of mind.


Both physical and mental health are interdependent. Both must cooperate with each other to lead a peaceful life. If our mind is disturbed then it leads to depression which further leads to diseases which tend to affect our physical health.

In the same way when our physical health gets affected it eventually affects our state of mind and causes deterioration of our mental health.


So that is why we say human bodies are designed in such a way that our physical health and mental health are interdependent. It is important for us to look after both our physical health and mental health.


PHYSICAL HEALTH


To look after our physical health we must follow healthy food practices. Our daily routine and food routine must be nutritious enough for us to lead a healthy life. Instead of eating junk food we must eat healthy and calories filled food so that our physical state of body can be maintained in a healthy way.


It is also important for us to do physical exercises on a daily basis to remain in the pink of health. It can easily suck out the bad cholesterol which remains hidden inside our body.


MENTAL HEALTH


To look after our mental health we must not worry too much. Having a calm and peaceful state of mind, controlling ourselves even in tough situations can help us to have good mental health. Meditation and physical exercise can give way to a free flow of our feelings and thoughts. Avoiding problematic situations and anger controlling is serendipity. Mental health is the one which dominates our physical health. So it is very important to take good care of our mental health. Instead of holding our thoughts and emotions into our hearts we can give it a free flow which can help us to have a healthy state of mind.


So, as we know that our physical and mental health are interdependent we must make sure to take good care of both at the same time. If any problem arises in either of the above, it is good to consult a physician or psychologist. Thus we can lead a happy life!!
