Equality generally means that all men are born free are equal in respect of their rights. It means absence of social privilege and that adequate opportunities are given to all. Equality is divided into various types, they are:

1. Natural Equality,

2. Social Equality,

3. Civil Equality,

4. Political Equality,

5. Economic Equality,

6. Legal Equality, and

7. Equality of Opportunity and Education.


Equality is important as it helps in achieving better outcomes for people and improves performance, it also ensures compliance with the law as inequality can lead to higher crime rates, it can also impact the health of individuals mentally and physically. So, for any society to develop socially, economically and health-wise, it must try to achieve equality.
