MAINTAINING MORAL STANDARDS AMONG YOUTH

 

Today's youth are tomorrow's citizens. Young ones play a prominent role in society. It is important for older ones to instill the seeds of morality and moral standards in the minds of the youth. That makes the child a perfect citizen at the end.

Today there is a lot of lack of moral standards among people, especially in the youth. This may be because of lack of proper teaching and training of morality by their parents. Though it may seem that there is nothing to worry about, it may seriously affect the future of the younger generation.

Moral standards must be the base for the lives of the youth in general. These standards carve a perfect human being. Moral standards make the young ones to have a clear sense of right and wrong.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?

Sometimes children are distracted with different perspectives of morality from their society, friends, school, entertainment..etc. All these can influence their personal moral agenda. So it is important to have a personal moral agenda to lead a clean life.

MORAL TEACHING

 

Teach yourself which is morally right and which is morally wrong. Ask help from your parents. Learn to apply the moral principles which you learn in action.

LEARN THE EFFECTS

In order to learn the importance of having moral standards in one's life who is too young, he or she can think about how his conduct which isn't moral can affect his/her neighbour or friend. How can it affect his friendship? What is wrong in doing something bad? Finding answers to such questions can make one understand why moral standards are important in his/her life.

Train your conscience, so that it can alert you if you do something wrong. Think about the benefits of following moral standards. How can it bring out the best in you and how can you gain trust from your friends through your honest conduct.

TODAY'S WORLD

Today's world is so fast moving and so much money minded so that it cannot concentrate on the application of moral values in each circumstance that is encountered. Not all people give importance to morality. It is really tough for today's youth to apply moral principles in their daily lives. But once they take the due steps to be morally clean then the fruits of it are going to be eternally enjoyed by them. 

Moral values which are entitled in children at a very young age will never fade away ever in their life. So it is the duty of the parents and the teachers to teach the children to imbibe moral values at a very young age and to make them understand why it is important to follow moral values.

So let us all make sure that we ourselves will imbibe moral ethics and standards in our life, teach the future generations to lead a life of morality and have the best future ever!!
