DRUG AND ALCOHOL ABUSE
Once the word drug was taboo in society, it has become common to use them now. Almost all youngsters are attracted towards it but luckily many have prevented themselves from becoming addicted to it.
Young people are easily influenced by wrong habits and practices. When they see drug usage it seems to attract them and they unknowingly fall into the pit.
Drug and alcohol usage is a snare. Once you fall into it then it is very tough to come out of it. It keeps on tempting and finally, the person becomes addicted.
Drug and alcohol usage takes the consumers to another world which keeps them addicted to it. It is like an imposter which shuns the consumers to realize the real world.
They not only addict people but also have adverse effects on their health. There are physical and psychological damages in health due to over drug usage or abuse.

Drug usage may cause,
Slurred speech
Cancer
Sleeplessness
Loss of appetite
Non-stop drug usage
Lack of coordination
Lack of reasoning
Depression and anxiety
Disease
Restlessness
Hallucinations
Paralytic attacks
Family break down and many more.
There are numerous adverse effects on physical health and mental health which these drugs and alcohol can cause.
There is nothing wrong with limited alcohol consumption. But if it goes over the line alcohol can also lead to addiction and adverse health issues.
But if a person relies only on alcohol to be happy then he is addicted to it. Drinking frequently or in high quantities can also be a sign of addiction.
Why is it wrong?
Drug consumption or alcohol addiction can make you think that it is the only source to make you happy.
You are more and more induced to consume alcohol or take up drugs as time goes by.
Too much money is needlessly spent on drugs and alcohol.
You make unwise decisions under drug or alcohol influence.
When you indulge too much in them then you cannot stop consuming them even if you wish.
HOW CAN YOU OVERCOME IT?
First, you can make a plan.
Decide that you will not drink on some particular days.
Second, make your plan into action. Put into action what you have set as a goal for the week. Know the standard limit of drug usage or alcohol consumption, measure how much you consume, and make changes according to it. And stand inside the limits.
Third, keep up your plan. Do not take your word or decision back. Do what you have planned to do. If you set a day to use alcohol and drugs then don't use it on other days.
Slowly try avoiding them.
Fourth, see what positive benefits you have by avoiding alcohol, drug usage and focus on them.
Fifth, have your loved ones with you to divert you from concentrating on drug and alcohol consumption.
By following these steps you'll get rid of drug and alcohol addiction and be healthy.
