Young ones may be addicted to social media because of the attraction which the media grabs.The eye warming social media content and advertisements may enthrall children and young ones to remain addicted.


THE DANGER FOR DAMAGING YOUR REPUTATION 


You must guard your reputation. You can make a lifelong dent with one single thoughtless post!

Your words must be decent and heart warming. 

No gossip and usage of bad or offensive language. 

No improper post. 

One improper post or photo in social media can make you jobless or fired!


WHAT CAN YOU DO?


Evaluate yourself.

When you post a picture ask yourself "What does the picture tell others about me?"

This can help you make wise decisions. 


CHOOSE FRIENDS CAREFULLY!


To make good friends on social media you must know who the person really is. You must not befriend an unknown person. Contact only with those whom you've known personally. Don't befriend or chat with an unknown person or an unknown identity. 


GET GUIDANCE FROM PARENTS 


You can ask guidance from your parents.

Discuss about how you use social media in a productive way and do not hesitate to get help from them if you feel that you are in trouble. 


DO NOT DISCLOSE YOUR PRIVATE MATTERS 


Many youth do not understand why they shouldn't put too much personal information on their social media account. Such disclosure may be a threat to one's privacy and safety. 


TIME


Social Media can be time consuming. It can be addictive too!! So you can set a stipulated time period to use your social media account on a daily basis. Thus, you can avoid addiction. 


BE UNDER SURVEILLANCE 


Being under the surveillance of parents can protect children from addiction to social media networks.


FRIENDSHIP POLICY


Have a standard friendship policy. For example if you have never met a person face to face then don't befriend them.



ADVANTAGES OF SOCIAL MEDIA 


Social media opens up many learning platforms. We can learn without a tutor by using social media. 

Communication is also possible through social media platforms. 

Business and negotiation are possible through social media.

And there are numerous advantages pulling up in the 21st century!!


Have your own moral policy on the usage of social media and protect your reputation and privacy!!

You can also learn something new through social media platforms like Edmondo, Instagram, Pinterest and many other blogging platforms. 


EXPLORE YOUR TALENT 


You can explore your own talent through social media platforms like instagram, blogging in WordPress or any other blogging platforms.

But, remember children must be very careful while using social media platforms because it can damage their character and reputation.
