TEENAGE SUICIDE
Suicide is injuring oneself intending to pass away. Suicide attempts are injuring oneself intending to die but don't end up dying. Today, teenage suicide is becoming common.
Many teenagers decide to end their life due to various problems.
Some may have psychological problems which induce their mind to take such decisions. Some may take such decisions as they were not able to cope up with the problems of life. Some may end their life because of the amount of stress created by studies and many more reasons prevail in society.
Teenage suicide is the most horrible type of suicide because young people end up their lives even before knowing what life is in reality.
A 15-year-old girl who was a resident of Noida committed suicide as she had failed in her examination. It was found out that her teachers deliberately failed her as she had often complained about the teachers who scolded her regularly and threatened to fail her in the examination. She was just a class 9 student who took her own life. The parents blame the school authorities for creating too much pressure on that particular student. She hanged herself in her room.
Another incident also talks about teenage suicide. Siya Kakkar a 16-year-old tik to fame committed suicide.
Teenagers try to end their lives when they go through tough times. But it is not the right to decide to end up living.
Depression may lead to suicidal thoughts. The World Health Organisation defines depression as the predominant cause of illness and disability for boys and girls aged 10 to 19.
Symptoms
Depression symptoms can have changes in sleep patterns, appetite, hopelessness, sadness, and worthlessness.
The above symptoms are researched and found out by an organization.
The WHO also gives the reasons for depression.
The reasons they state are
Depression results from a complex interaction of social, psychological and biological factors."
SOLUTION
Having a sound mind will not lead our thoughts to suicidal decisions.
Some depressions and suicidal thoughts can be cured with medication and treatment. Counseling from a mental health professional can help teenagers to overcome suicidal thoughts.
Good care of physical and mental health is needed.
Eating healthy food, doing regular physical exercise, having sufficient sleep are some solutions to overcome suicidal thoughts of youth.
A teenager who is fighting with such a thought can talk about it to an elderly person such as his/her parents, teacher, or a doctor to overcome suicidal thoughts.
Having a good psyche and a healthy surrounding and environment and people can very much help a person to overcome suicidal thoughts.
Avoiding too much pressure in studies can avoid suicidal thoughts!!
Avoid suicidal thoughts and prevent others from having such thoughts!!
