POVERTY
Poverty is the state of financial backwardness among families. This happens when there is a lack of facilities and financial resources.
Even the basic needs of the family cannot be attained. Poverty occurs due to the uneven distribution of income and employment.
Poverty is not peculiar to a particular area or region. It is a universal factor. It is common in almost all countries. Lack of educational opportunities can lead to a lack of employment opportunities which may further lead to economic backwardness. And thus Poverty prevails throughout the family.
The government has planned to give many incentives and arrangements for poor ones. But still, Poverty eradication cannot be fulfilled.
The government has given free basic education plans to poor ones. This plan also has a mid-day meals scheme which gives afternoon meals to the children who come to school. This mid-day meal scheme was introduced by Kamarajar.
Many children who belong to poor families are sent to school just for the sake of getting at least one a day. This method of mid-day meals has significantly improved the literacy rate of the country.
Though poverty has the utmost effects in all countries, the governments have been trying to eradicate poverty through various schemes and programs.
Poverty sometimes leads to an increase in the death rate of the country. Malnutrition and lack of proper food lead to different diseases which bring a decline in the health of people, which further leads to death.
Thus Poverty plays a significant role in the increase of the death rate of the country. Poverty prevails due to the uneven distribution of property and resources.
The rich people have an overflow of resources and money. But on the contrary, the poor ones lack even the basic resources needed for their existence. Such uneven distribution of resources leads to an increase in the country’s poverty rate.
The government can make amendments to have an equal distribution of property and resources. They can pass acts to prevent the over-accumulation of money and resources. There can be a check to over-accumulation of properties so that all can enjoy equal distribution of resources. The government can also provide employment opportunities to the ones who are economically weak.
Educational and employment opportunities can be the best solution for poverty. Increasing the rate of literacy and reducing the uneven distribution of resources will be a solution to Poverty.
So let us join together to eradicate poverty and have an equal distribution of property.
