We are often asked about what exactly inspired us to start this beautiful service of an NGO. And we, being the creative minds we are, saw it as an opportunity to let our readers know the sweet story behind this organization!

For we love our audience and c'mon who doesn't like listening to inspiring incidents! 

This goes back to a long time when our very own, CEO & General Secretary, Dr. Sumit Singh's parents were in their early middle age. They used to give away 70% of their salary to do as much philanthropy and selfless acts as possible. Yet none of them believed in boasting their benevolent attitude and their practice. Therefore no official platform was established back then. 

"You don't need riches to do great things in life, you can make a huge difference by merely devoting your time and being compassionate!"

However, the very active Dr. Sumit Singh with his talented teammates worked in establishing this institution, providing an official platform to his parents' hard work. So that, more impoverished audience could contact and get assistance. In the same manner, the family's generous attitude was passed on to, now, super amazing and compassionate team workers of Badlav Seva Samiti.  

                                              

                                               

Moreover, do you know what keeps us going? 

The happy faces! The bright smiles which we are able to put on the faces of the underprivileged. You know, the smile on the pale face of an aged mother and when they say

 "beta subah se kaam karrhe ho, madad krrhe hai, bath jao thoodi der warna beemar hojaoge"

(Translation: Child, you're working since morning, helping everyone, please sit for a while else you'll fall sick)

This love, this motherly love keeps us going! 

This is just one of our plenty of precious moments while serving the community. We receive sweet texts, beautiful handmade cards from people, and kids who we've helped in the past. And oh, the messages of appreciation from our beloved contributors! Full of respect and admiration, reading them makes us shed tears, at times!
